We are now seeking a Chief Accountant to our HQ in Helsinki to join our team on the journey ahead.
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional who is technically inclined and curious about digital tools and system support. As Chief Accountant at Aimo Park, you will have the opportunity to dive in and deliver excellent service to internal stakeholders and external partners. This is a role where you can bring your perspectives and expertise to the forefront, with responsibility for ensuring high‑quality and timely accounting in compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. In addition to day‑to‑day operational work, you will have an active role in optimizing, streamlining, and automating the finance department’s accounting, closing, and reporting processes. As a Chief Accountant, you will
Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with reporting standards (local GAAP).
Oversee accurate and on-time accounting operations, including revenue, rent, and expense entries.
Prepare and submit statutory financial information, such as VAT and income tax declarations, annual reports, and OmaVero filings.
Maintain fixed asset accounting and support in tax-related documentation.
Lead and participate in finance-related investigations and improvement projects.
Contribute to the development of accounting competence and process efficiency within Aimo Park.
This is a hands-on role where rolling up your sleeves comes naturally. You will work closely with the finance team, taking ownership of ad‑hoc questions and diverse accounting tasks as they arise. Most of all, you’ll share our vision and want to be part of The world of Aimo.
Your background:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with solid and broad expertise in accounting.
Strong knowledge of Finnish accounting regulations, internal controls, tax, and VAT.
Experience working with large ERP systems and high‑transaction environments; previous experience with NetSuite is considered an asset.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and good knowledge of various financial systems.
Proven ability to lead and support change processes, including efficiency and automation initiatives.
Ability to balance detailed analytical work with a holistic, strategic perspective.
Fluency in Finnish and English; Swedish is considered an advantage.
You are a proactive and change‑driven accounting professional who values open communication and humble collaboration.
