Your role as a (Senior) NetSuite Finance Consultant:
As a NetSuite Finance Consultant, you will work as part of a client team both in new customer implementation projects and in various projects within continuous services. Your responsibilities include resolving customers’ problem situations as well as identifying and working on different technical challenges. You ensure that customers’ processes and solutions align with the company’s overall situation. As a consultant, you aim to resolve acute situations, but you are also able to see opportunities to offer customers tools or open discussions about potential process development.
As a Finance Consultant, your tasks are particularly related to customer companies’ finance, reporting, and accounting processes, daily financial operations, and activities related to period-end closings. You will always receive support and help both from your own team and, when needed, from other Greenstep consultants!
Your work focuses on both implementation projects and continuous development. New customer NetSuite implementation projects include defining the current state of the customer’s business processes and system landscape, as well as configuring and validating the corresponding functionalities in NetSuite in accordance with the team’s project model. The role also includes defining required integrations and connections to supporting systems in collaboration with the rest of the team, validating historical data, and performing migrations or supporting the customer in these, as well as deployment according to the cut-over plan and GO-live support. As a Finance Consultant, you will also participate in project planning and management together with the customer and the project manager.
In continuous services, you are responsible for supporting customers in system usage as well as for designing and implementing new features. Your tasks include defining new needs arising from business growth and changes, implementing potential system changes, testing different alternatives and features, customer demos, customer training, and support.
In addition to projects, the role includes consulting internal and external stakeholders, supporting other teams’ projects with your expertise, and resolving support requests that come through customer support.
🔎What do we hope for from our future team member?
Experience working with the NetSuite system. We hope you have been involved, for example, in a system implementation, possibly even trained others in the intricacies of the system. Previous experience working as a NetSuite consultant is considered an advantage!
Broad experience in financial processes, financial statements, and stakeholder collaboration. We hope that IFRS and more international financial practices are not unfamiliar to you. Your background within finance can be, for example, as a controller or a general ledger accountant.
Experience with various financial management systems and processes. As the role involves a significant amount of development work, experience with development processes will help you succeed in this position.
Fluent communication skills in English as well as the local language.
A suitable educational background.
Success in this role requires an energetic approach to work and an interest in working at the customer interface. You have a consultative and customer-oriented mindset: you are able to identify customer needs, present options, and clearly highlight the key aspects relevant to decision-making. As a person, you are curious and courageous, able to organize your own work and drive things forward.
