We are seeking an experienced HR professional who is enthusiastic about a diverse range of responsibilities spanning both strategic and operational HR areas. As Chief People and Culture at Virta, you will have the opportunity to dive in and embark on a growth and transformation journey with us. This is a position where you can bring your perspectives and expertise to the forefront and will have the responsibility to refine our HR processes and practices. In addition to day-to-day operational work, you will make strategic-level decisions and set directions in both smaller and larger matters. As the Chief People and Culture, you will
- Own and evolve the global people strategy to accelerate growth, align with our mission, and financial objectives. You will lead talent acquisition, leadership development, engagement, high performance, compensation & benefits, and HR operations while sustaining a value-driven culture that is strong, inclusive, and globally connected.
- Guide and build performance management. You will design a clear, objective-driven framework that drives clarity, accountability, and results at every level; enable ongoing feedback, coaching, and recognition.
- Drive sustainability strategy, embed ESG in operations, ensure CSRD/GRI compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop leadership and lead transformation programs, including restructures and operational shifts, balance compliance, transparency, and culture. You will partner with the executive team and line managers to ensure people’s strategies support operational efficiency and profitability goals.
- Oversee global HR compliance, risk, and governance, and adapt global frameworks to local regulations and cultural contexts.
- Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the leadership team, driving organisational effectiveness, championing sustainability, and building a performance-driven culture that inspires and retains top talent worldwide.
What capabilities and background do we see as a best fit for the Chief People and Culture role
- Substantial experience in responsible HR roles; senior international HR leadership, ideally in high-growth, multi-country environments, driving performance management, building leadership capability, and leading change at scale.
- Skilled at uniting diverse teams under a shared culture and purpose.
- Experience in attracting and retaining top talent.
- Strong knowledge of international HR compliance and governance, with a focus on employment regulations and practices in Europe, specifically in Sweden, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.
- Passion for sustainability and ESG integration.
- Fluent communication in English and Finnish, proficiency in other languages, especially Swedish, French, or German, is considered an advantage.
