Why Bezala?

We are a bootstrapped & profitable Finnish SaaS business with 100K+ users and 30% YoY growth. We've gotten this far with mainly Nordic clients, but intend to step up our game and grow internationally even quicker.

Your work will have a large impact. We have about 10K daily active users on our mobile and web apps. They file their expense claims, view their paychecks and document their time entries all while using our corporate card and seeing their carbon emissions in real time. Our goal is to minimize the time needed to report expenses and time entries, and deliver an exceptional user experience.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience as a backend developer. 
• Knowledge in Ruby & Rails.
• Concrete understanding of system design, performance tradeoffs and scalable architecture.
• You have a strong product sense and make well-reasoned technical decisions, knowing when to prioritize speed and when to invest in foundational work.
• Experience with test driven development.
• Bonus: Experience in Fintech or B2B SaaS.
• Bonus: Fluent in Finnish or Swedish.
• Bonus: Knowledge in PostgreSQL.
• Bonus: Knowledge in React.

• Develop and improve: Collaborate closely with our product team and develop intuitive, AI enabled, mind-blowing user experiences.
• Improve Reliability: Help maintain and improve the security and stability of our systems by contributing to bug fixes, test coverage, and platform health.
• Write Maintainable Code: Ship clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews that help you and your team grow.
• Contribute to shaping our technical direction, engineering culture and product strategy.

Who you will work with

Our development team of passionate Rubyists, mobile developers, brilliant front end developers and investigative QAs work together remotely throughout Europe and Asia but regularly gather for fun meetups in Europe.💚

Our support & onboarding team use AI to automatically respond to and close 60% of support requests. Our sales and marketing team is based in Finland and bring us about 30 new clients per month.

We speak Finnish, Swedish, German and Ukrainian and mainly communicate in English.
